Pushing snow with the 140

Postby 69ranger » Thu Feb 03, 2022 7:47 pm

We had a pretty good snow last night, and a driving wind to spread it out some.
A few days ago, when the weather was warmer, I got the blade out and put it on the 140.

So tonight, after work I whet to the shed, and with a little shot of starting fluid, it fired right up. It wad cold out today, never got up past 20 degrees, so i was happy that it fired off.
The blade mounted up front, worked great and I was able to move the ridge of snow that the county pushed up along the road. They blade off the road, and then everyone gets stuck on the ridge.

I had a couple hours of fun, and opened up the drives of 9 of my neighbors, so they can get out.
Oh, I also helped out a little blonde lady, that had high centered her car trying to get out of the drive way. She has been putting up with my tractor hobbit for 31 years, come this June. She is fixing me supper, so it seems like a good trade. :||):

Huge difference between the Cub and the 140 when it comes to plowing snow. It has a lot of advantages over a jeep ( except for the open cab)

I actually was concerned about what it could do to the driveway because it does not stop like the cub it is catches something so I installed a plastic cutting edge for the snow. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=112446
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Glad to hear you're having fun with it. I got quite a bit of seat time on my Cubs over the past few days pushing snow as well.
