Hi can anyone give any direction as to how the camshaft comes out of this engine ? I don’t have a manual but have the timing cover off and the gear removed and the 3 bolts out of the cam under the gear but it only seems
To wanna move about 1/2” then stop when I lightly tap it . Anything else I need to do ? Thanks

Re: Farmall f20 cam removal
Did you take the rockers off and push the tappets up? If they are sitting on the cams, as soon as you start to move the shaft, adjacent cams start to collide with the tappets. You may have to do something to keep the tappets from falling back down (or falling out after the camshaft is removed).

Also, if there is a fuel pump mounted to the side of the block, it will have to be removed.
