As I prepare our New Year’s Day meal, I wondered what everyone else might be serving on this new day. Maybe a family favorite? A traditional meal? I will begin with a meal prepared in the South that contains a couple of traditional items to start off the new year.
Grilled Pork Chops
Black-Eyed Peas
Boiled Cabbage
Butter Beans (Lima Beans)
Corn Bread (Baked)
Happy New Year Everyone!

Nothing special. Probably whatever I find in the fridge when I come in from the shop tonight.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Growing up we spent New Years Day at friends for many years in a row. They were from PA, German heritage, so that was the meal. Always enjoyed it!

We had left overs from the Japanese steak house on New Years Eve. They put so much food on your plate that I got 2 more meals out of it. Steak and shrimp for me.
