Said ‘So long’ to my little beauty
Last June I sold/donated my little ‘67 Cub Loboy to the Northern Ontario Railway Museum. They were interested in the tractor as it was a service tractor for one the stations up here. The station agent used it to pull baggage carts to load and unload cargo from passenger and way freights. Quite a few stations had one. The agent would also clean snow off the platform in the winter months. It was sad to watch it go away on that trailer, but I had not used it much since getting the 130. I heard they used it in their Christmas parade. Some day I shall make trip and pay her a visit. Added photo of the pintle hook that was used to pull the wagons. That is my buddy Gerry in pic. He had an 8hr trip in front of him. Said he got a lot of ‘looks’ along the way.

You can always find a new love……amazingly there are cubs needing to be adopted and TLC. These little machines are quiet addicting I must say!

There are a lot of pics showing cubs towing planes. Not sure I have seen one where they worked RR applications. Thanks for sharing.
The 130 is a very nice machine. Love mine. It got me into the " big iron" and I picked up a 2 140s since I liked the 130 so much.

Been eyeing up the 140 myself. Saw a real nice one in a classified, then realized the ad was more than 2 years old and the contact links were not available.

One thing about the 140 it there are a number of differences between the parts vs the 130. Even though the engine is the same model but there are a number of different parts in that version

Re: Said ‘So long’ to my little beauty
I would like to know more about the history of the tractor. Was it painted orange for the railroad originally? Anything other than the hitch make it special?
Some earlier Lo-Boy's made for highway mowing had foot throttles and heavy duty tie rods.

Indy, the tractor was painted orange. Not sure if it was ordered that way, but at the time all CN Rail equipment was orange. The hitch was an add on by the company to pull the freight wagons. There were many stations along the line that had one of these tractors. I was lucky enough to acquire this one. I knew the station agent who used this tractor, in fact for a number of years my uncle operated this tractor at Oba Ontario. It was quite amazing that my passion for these machines found me rebuilding this little International. The fact that it made it way to the Railway museum some 50 years later is quite unique.
