Friend needs to replace stolen parts!
There is a fellow Cub owner near me here in NC, who has inherited his father's cub, but is only now able to pick it up at his Mom's. She couldn't let it go, so it sat on her property for quite a while, where someone helped themselves to the steering wheel, seat, muffler, and light switch knob.
I offered to look for those items at the Barnyard Bash, so if you happen to have a spare at a reasonable price, and could bring it to the Bash, please let me know!
He's arranging to have a roll back take it to his house. It has cultivators and/or discs under it, and is worried about damaging them when loading, since all 4 tires are flat. If he waits until I get back, I may be able to loan him a couple front tires and 1 rear I have here.
If you have any tips for loading with "stuff" mounted front & back, please let me know. (I am copying this post to him).
Thanks!

Thanks, Tim! I'll pass that along.
If he can't get them off, can they be tied up, some how?

Re: Friend needs to replace stolen parts!
They can be tied up if he has too. But I would agree with Tim, remove them if possible. A roll back works in his favor in this case. Won’t have a ‘hump’ to deal with like he’d have if he used a trailer. Just take a length of chain or rope across the top of torque tube and lift each side and tie off. As long as they are not dragging the ground, should be good to go

Re: Friend needs to replace stolen parts!
agree with Tim! With them tied up there should be plenty of room underneath to not hit anything.
Side note, ---- shove some boards under the the sweeps to slide on the truck floor and that will keep from catching too. ( been there , done that on stuff!)

Re: Friend needs to replace stolen parts!
if all the tires are flat should try blowing them up 1st before moving it anyway so tubes do not get ripped etc, only a couple pins and cultivator can be removed on the back and one nut on each side in the front no big deal,

Thanks Dale. This was kind of you to post this. Good news. The cub is home with no damage to anything.

Side note, if it has been sitting outside, with the muffler off, there might be water damage in the engine

Re: Friend needs to replace stolen parts!
I have a steering wheel, muffler and seat he can have. They are still usable and would be good to get the tractor driveable again, but probably not something you want for a restoration. I plan on being at the Bash on at least Thursday and Friday. Let me know if you would like pictures.

April 2023 the tractor wasn't missing anything. I checked on it a few weeks a go and discovered the missing parts and dad's harrow was missing as well. I grabbed the remaining implements. The motor is definitely seized.

I'm sure there will be a lot of work to be done on this tractor. The serial plate was badly worn and I couldn't see any numbers. I ran my fingers across it and barely felt raised numbers. I took paper and a pencil and rubbed back and forth and the numbers magically appeared. 91844
