How to Make a Tin Can PTO Cover
Here is how:
Step 1: Start with a small soup can (the small one is almost perfect in length and diameter).
Step 2: Open the can and make soup. . Next cut about 1/4" of the bottom of the can off with a cutting tool, (be careful to not cut yourself on the sharp edges).
Step 3: Cut a slit down one side of the can, so that the can will tighten down evenly on the PTO assembly.
Step 4: Place a hose clamp on each end of the can and tighten down starting with the end closest to the tractor.
Warning **** You will want to round over, burnish or fold over and crimp the cut edges so that they do not cut the operator.

No slit, one clamp
No slit, closed end, one clamp
