I have never had any dealings with them myself, but a lot of people seem to shy away form the 185. I do not know why. I can tell you that the clutch on the number series is not as sturdy as the one on the standard cubs, since they were mainly designed as mowing tractors, not farming tractors like the standard cub. Also the pto clutch is very expensive to repair if it gives trouble, and I do believe that the one on the 185 gives trouble on a regular basis.
