I bought this tractor in May of 2007 to use at my place and it's got a sentimental story behind it. In 2007, my dad was in stage 4 cancer, and I had been looking for a little bit bigger tractor to use with a blade, and bush hog at my place. I found this tractor located in the small southwest Missouri town of Pioneer, which was some of my dad's old stomping ground when he was a kid. The town is located about 45 minutes south of where I currently live.
My dad was still doing pretty well in May and getting around fairly well (considering), and we were still optimistic that he could possibly beat the cancer. I told him about this tractor and he rode down with me to look at it and I ended up buying it that day. We had a good lunch on the way home, and this was the last time I actually got to go do something with my dad. He passed away on 9/12/07, just 5 days after his 68th birthday.
I worked many hours on the tractor painting it, but he didn't get to see it finished. So, even though it's just a peice of machinery, it means a lot to me as you can see from the short story above.

I like that a lot!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Re: 1951 Farmall Super C
Thanks Bigdog & Roy.
I love my Cub, but both my dad & I agreed that I needed something a little bit bigger out here and the SC fit the bill. I like those tractors and their just the right size for my place. An H or M would have been a little too big, but I like them both. Heck, I like all the Red tractors!!!
The guy I bought this one from told me he had been trying to get the tractor off an old man for years because it had such straight tin. He was right!
