Correct Battery Size & Strength

Postby The Riot » Tue Jan 21, 2014 10:12 am

Hello All,
I am trying to determine what is correct replacement battery for my 1972 Cub (Yellow). When I got the tractor it had been completely dismantled and didn't have a battery or battery box. I'm completely restoring my Cub and want to replace the battery box and get the correct size to fit and the correct power for my tractor. By the way my serial number is 239825J.

Thank you,
The Riot

Group 26 R works. Here is an ongoing post that was started last week on this same subject. It will probably answer all your questions. http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=82132
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I don't have a picture of an original, but if you want it to match as perfect as possible, get a box from Norm Quay. You get what you pay for and the other boxes aren't much for what they cost. Norm's boxes will out last many of the after market boxes.

Outstanding. You're right what I was coming up so far didn't seem to be very strong and dural, light guage.

I will give Norm a call.

Thanks again for the help. Take care.
