I am considering the purchase of a Schumacher se-4022 battery charger/starter , and I would like your input if you have a better suggestion .

I have a 6/12 Schumacher that has worked great for the last five years; I don't know what model number it is without a trip to the barn... tomorrow.

Go to the Schumacher website and download the manual before making your decision. It appears that the 6 volt setting is only available for a couple of functions. One of my neighbors has a similar one though several years old, and it is not much good for 6 volts. Note, if you use the settings above 2 amps, do not forget to set the timer, neighbor burned up a battery when his timer went bad and he left it on manual for too long.
