Original Cub color

Postby Campheadgirl » Sun May 05, 2024 5:41 pm

We are thinking of buying a 49 cub. The tractor is orange. Appears to be original ?? Unsure if this is possible? Anyone have any feedback?

Municipal and highway tractors could come in orange. You might see if the seller has any history on the Cub. Welcome to the forum.

Then it is very likely to have been IH red originally. Unless I've missed something the legend is that IH returned the Cub to its original IH red for the last year of production, 1979.

Matt, I bought a 79 Cub last year that has not been repainted. It is yellow and white. I believe it was optional.

I have a 1948 Cub that is Red. I use the CNH/IH #2150 that is a perfect match for me.
