Someone had to go there...

Rachael is about a third as old as farm girl. I think that's good enough.

I’ve only removed 2 Cub heads, but had no broken bolts on either . I used my 1/2 electric impact (corded not battery), I start by tapping the trigger a couple tome in foreword direction then a couple taps in reverse. I alternate back and forth toll I see movement them go to an adjacent bolt and do the same. Just trying to brake the rust hold and to keep from putting more stress on remaining bolts. After getting a little movement on all the bolts I started over a removed them in similar pattern.

Does anyone know the dimensions used on this drill guide ?
Was only one used for both long and short locations ?

No I don't know the dimensions of the guide in the pic, but if I were making a drill guide, I would make it fit the hole in the cylinder head as snug as possible without being tough to insert and remove. I would drill the center to allow use of a 3/16" or 1/4" drill bit and I would cut it long enough to be used for both long and short locations.

Ok , I had a little bit of time to spend on the cub today. Nothing much has happened in the shed since my wife had a cancer diagnosis back in September last year
I went and bought a "Koken" stud removal tool to see if I could get any of the broken bolts out.
I've been soaking these for months now.
Anyway , much to my surprise , the first one I tried came out after some gentle back and forward.
We got 2 out and broke 2 more
When looking at the ones that came out I thought they'd be covered in rust but they weren't
Just curious why they are still so hard to get out ?
Here's a couple of pics of the ones that came out today
I had previously cut the heads off these bolts as the rattle gun didn't get them to budge
