I don't think this one uses the long bolt. This doesn't have the blocks but rather a bar and I believe the bar is threaded at each end and uses the bolts shown next to it in the photos (green arrows).

Careful you don't lose the bushing (red arrow).

I have never had the boomerang....didn't know about it until a couple years ago....and it has been working well every winter. If you can get one reasonably priced then okay.

The Boomerang may sill be on the tractor.

Good point about the boomerang being on the tractor still. I checked the guy's photos out of the blade when it was mounted on the tractor and there is no boomerang present. It's just mounted directly to the touch control arm. That rules that possibility out.

Good catch Radioguy41. I just degreased/cleaned some of the parts today and noticed that red block in the photo is hollow in the center but has threaded ends on each end. I don't think a long bolt goes through that. Like you said, likely two shorter bolts.

I did see a bushing in the arm like you pointed out. Glad it didn't fall out!

Once I finish cleaning/sanding the parts and get them painted, I'll try mounting it on the tractor.

$200 is a great price for a Michigan snow blade! I normally see these for about $300 here. Hopefully that boomerang is less than $100.

Hi,
The previous owner might have the part sitting somewhere, and didn't use it on the Cub. You could ask him if he has it.

I thought so too. That's why I jumped on it. It doesn't look like I really need the boomerang to use it as a front blade. It appears to help more for increased lift when using in the middle position as a grader. I'll try to find one though regardless. As long as it isn't too expensive I'll pick one up.

The guy I bought the blade from said he took everything off that was on the tractor and that was all he had. It's possible the guy that he bought the tractor from has it laying around in his garage somewhere, but I'm not even sure who that is. Probably easier to just locate one on my own one day.

Sanded and primed some of the parts today. Cleaned up some of the nuts and bolts too. Still have to work on the blade. Should get it painted over the weekend.

Got the brackets/arms painted last night. Sanded down the blade yesterday too. Should start priming the blade today and then paint tomorrow hopefully. I'm just using some Rustoleum IH red in the spray can. Nothing fancy, but it should look a lot nicer than that rusty mess I first picked up!

Picked up a boomerang and clevis for the blade. I think I have all the parts now. Will paint these red once we get a nice sunny day here.

The Flexible Clevis reduces the lift of the blade significantly.
I bought one from TM Tractor back in 2005, put it on and realized there was only about 3" of lift on the blade. Took it off and put it in my spare parts bin.

I read somewhere online that people generally used that for plowing snow. Pushing debris maybe it's better to leave it off as you said so you have more lift. I just figured I'd get both parts so I have everything.

How much lift is there without the clevis? Around 6" or so maybe?
