The crankshaft pre-dates Regina. I used to have the pistons, rods and other internals in there, too. I finally moved all but the crank to my shop storage room.

Winter gas is refined to be more volatile than summer gas. Burning off remaining summer gas then refilling with winter gas of the same octane will probably make more difference than changing octane ratings.
