I have used cubs most of my life and never had one with the manual lift I made a post for a complete planter for sale a member is interested in it his cub has a manual lift what does he need to mount the planter and fertilize distributor on his cub I have everything for the hydraulic lift does the manual lift require something different if so pictures would help me understand how it works.

He can use the hand lift with the planter as is. Assuming he has the front rockshaft and lift rod

Hi,
Below are pics from TM Tractor of a manual lift lever, and the front rockshaft, and the rod to connect between them.
The lever bolts onto the top of the transmission housing, the front rockshaft bolts onto the 5/8" holes on the clutch housing. The front rockshaft usually uses 4 of the tapered head bolts, like the drawbar uses.

You didn't say if the planter is forward, or rear mounted. Below is an owner's manual for the 135 Planter. The manual lift lever, and front rockshaft are shown on pages 6 and 7.

Thanks tmays and glen I couldn't remember how the front part hooked up it is a forward mount 174 planter.

I've used my planter with both.......I only have hand lifts now
