Perhaps I should add a little more. This is the 1970 cub I bought a little over a month ago, and have been receiving so much helpful advice on, from this forum. I finally figured how to post a picture thanks to Glen.

Re: this is my cub
I love your take on the Rifleman's Creed. Perhaps we should keep your version and call it "The Tractorman's Creed". Very nice Cub by the way!

Re: this is my cub
Well, as a Rifleman must know and master his rifle, over the last few weeks, I am getting to know and master my cub. In fact, I am getting to know this cub more than I ever intended to.

Very nice tractor, love the comfortable looking seat. Enjoy. I have never seen one of those yellow cubs in this country.

What country are you from? My guess would be England. Interesting that they never sent the IH yellow ones. What I read I thought that even the ones sent to Europe after 1965 were yellow there too, just had all the names (Farmall, McCormick, and International Harvester.) As patents we're under different names in different countries so they covered all.

Re: this is my cub
Not strictly true Bob. I live in Donegal which is almost totally surrounded by Northern Ireland, but comes under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Ireland. Donegal is the most northwestern part of Ireland, and Northern Ireland is just five miles from me as the crow flies.
Returning to the “Yeller Cub” post. During the 1950s the wee grey Ferguson tractor took over and became very popular in Ireland so I suspect that they stopped importing the Cub tractors. Larger IH tractors and agricultural machinery continued to be imported.

BTW Guys,
When replying to a post How do I highlight a previous post/posts when making my reply. That is something I have not figured out. Will like to learn how to do that

Bernard, move your cursor over to the upper right portion of the post you want to highlight; just left of the poster's name. Hover over the quotation mark box and a small window will appear at your cursor saying "Reply with Quote". Click that button and your new post will pop up on the screen with that person's post captured in front and behind by [ quote ] and [ /quote ] marks. If you only want to quote a portion of the person's post, you can delete what you don't want, as long as you leave those [ quote][/quote ] marks in place. Then, you can type out your new post below it like normal.
Hope this helps.
