Group 1 6 v battery shortage?
Is anyone having trouble getting group 1 batteries? I go online to check and drive to the store and they do not have them in stock and have not for months they say. A battery store that I use was also short. Group 1 and golf cart batteries they say have been in very short supply. The battery store got a pallet in recently and all were spoken for long before it arrived. No problem with the 12v.
Is anyone else experiencing this or is it local to SE PA?

Have you tried Rural King? I get all my 6v Cub batteries there. $50.

Shelves at a lot of places are still pretty bare on some things. Local tsc battery and battery supply stuff is low and they don’t have any grease. This has been for awhile now on both

There are no Rural Kings near me. I just was hearing the same story from different auto stores and the battery store. I too noticed the grease issue at Tractor supply.

Give a call or take a drive up to Deka Battery (East Penn Mfg) near Fleetwood. They have a store right there at the factory. You can even get a blem (2nds) and save up to 40%.

I actually can find grease at TSC but it's been getting slim picking. Walmart hasn't had any grease besides boutique blends for months.

Dropped off a thermal pane window for repair at the local hardware store in April. Informed that it would take a while because they were having a hard time getting glass. September no replacement thermal pane.
Truck loads of fire wood being moved on the highway. Wonder why.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Group 1 6 v battery shortage?
Live in upstate S.C. Just bought a new 6 volt for my cub yesterday at a local O'Reillys. They had one and one only in stock. Was dusty and dirty from sitting there since this past May. $109.00 was the cost. All batteries are through the roof around here. Could spent $50.00 on a 20 pack of Duracell AAA batteries. Gotta keep those remotes and shop flashlights happy.

Re: Group 1 6 v battery shortage?
glad when I went to RP in June I picked up half a dozen batteries at Rural King, they are half the price of what they sell for in NY, wish we had one of those stores in the area, my dealer cost from Napa now is $115 for a group 1

If you're having trouble finding a Group 1, try a Group 19L.

Re: Group 1 6 v battery shortage?
Batteries Plus usually has one or two and can get coupons some times to get a better price. Still won't beat RK price. But here in Upstate SC as well they don't have them here. Wish we did. If you travel through an area with an Agrisupply they will keep them and their price is Bett than TSC but not as good as RK.

Re: Group 1 6 v battery shortage?
With batteries to compare prices, you have to look at the specs. There is a value difference. People in colder areas will appreciate the extra 75 CCA
tractorsupply $110
Cold cranking amps: 700
vs
Rural King $70
6V 625 CCA
