Length of Cub 22 Sickle Mower

Just purchased a Cub 22 and I honestly cannot tell if it is a 4.5 or 5 foot mower. The user manual does not seem to indicate a length. I measured the knife from the end of the knife (edge passed last sickle section) to the edge passed the pitman ball and that measurement is 58.5 inches. So, I conclude 4.5 ft. Five feet is 60 inches so...? How do you affirmatively tell a 4.5 from a 5 foot mower?

Count the knife sections or the guards. There are 4 per foot. The guard count will be one less due to the specific parts at each end. 4-1/2 feet uses 18 sections and 17 guards. 5 foot takes 20 and 19.

Measure the width of cut. Measure between the points of the inner and outer shoe.

The knife has to be bigger, because it is moving back and forth.

I will count the guards and sections. I am certain without looking at it that I noted 17 guards and 18 sections and I measured between the inner and outer shoe and that came to 4.5. I will let you know when I check the mower. Thank you for responding.
