Governer/throttle rod
Anyone else's throttle rod run really close here??? I feel like mine rubs and I think the nut on the yoke catches here too.

Re: Governer/throttle rod
Mine definitely does. Will be replacing governor spring and adjusting all accordingly after doing so to ensure smooth changes in the throttle setting.

Re: Governer/throttle rod
Hi,
The governor won't work right if the rod is rubbing hard on the engine.
It isn't supposed to rub on the engine. I would bend it out so there is clearance.
Below are pics from TM Tractor Parts of the governor linkage that the small rod connects to at the front of the rod. Be sure the arm on the right of pics 1 and 2 isn't bent in.

Re: Governer/throttle rod
Yes, if it isn't straight up and down, like the pics are.
The rod should be straight, straighten it if it is bent.

You didn't post a picture of the arm at the left of your pic, it has to be assembled right, like the pics I posted the link to.
