Cub Blade Pics
I'm posting some blade renovation pictures for your viewing pleasure. This is a project of GITractorman. The "decals" on the lift arms were a product of his talent.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

The decals on the Blade are great.... gotta find some.. for a RED blade...
Secondly, the blue and black Cub Cadet style hood decal is pretty sharp. I like it surprisingly....
It definitely provides that Individualization feel to the Cub..
Well Done

BD, thanks for posting the pics. I searched around and found them this morning, and I think I have finally figured out how to upload & post them.
The Cub is an all original 1977 Cub. The red paint on the tractor is all original, except for the drawbar and wheel weights, which I have just painted to clean up the rust. The decals are original too, for a 1975 - 1979 Cub. This tractor should have been painted yellow/white, as was the most common for the time, but red was an option. In 1979 IH reverted to the red pattern, and yellow/white was the option.
I had a friend sandblast and epoxy prime the blade for me, then I shot it with IH935 white paint on Sunday. I could not find the exact, original decals, as the originals had the gold shadow, and a 3"x3" IH decal on the right with the gold shadow. So I improvized, found the best decals that I could. The CUB 54A is not a decal though. I though ahead of time, and made a tracing of the original decal prior to sandblasting. Then, last night I carved the tracing into blue painter's masking tape and transferred it to the blade frame. Then I shot it with black paint. It turned out pretty good, but there are a few bleed marks that I need to trim with a razor knife.
I plan to mount the blade this evening and get some measurements.
Thanks for everyone's comments.

Again, Well Done!
A little bit of ingenuity proves again how industrious our fellow Cubbers are.... also, a little pre-planning can make life so much easier

Height and sketch
Ok, I mounted the blade tonight, and in the full up position, the cutting edge is a little over 5" off of the ground. In the same position the blade is about 4" from the bell housing on the engine.
Rudy, guess what, I made two. I just e-mailed the scan to you, with the exact dimensions because the scan ended up being a little smaller (not sure why.
Thanks for all the compliments guys.

Hey "GITractorman" You've got a REAL FIND there Son! Your original paint looks GREAT...and your DECALS are SUPER! I believe your INTERNATIONAL decal was the same one IH used on their Cub Cadet rotillers (or at least it looks like tthe same one)?
