Carb. Comment For Donny & Ralph

Postby Merlin » Tue May 09, 2006 10:43 pm

I got up Sunday at daylight determined to find out why my Cub wouldn't run with the 2 carbs. you looked at. I finally discovered why one wouldn't. The threads were stripped out on one side and a PO tried to put a bolt with a nut and it must not have fit and he/she ground down part of the carb. and ground through the side into the air inlet. I put another old top I had laying around on it and now the Cub purrs. My friend called this morning wanting a carb. and I told him what I had and like VinceD, he went and got an IH kit, brought it over and we put it in, put it on my Cub, and it ran like is was supposed to. He took it home and now so does his.
