Cub Model 22 Grass Board Set EBAY Record Price!!!

Postby 'Country' Elliott » Wed May 17, 2006 4:33 am

An original IH Cub Model 22 Grass Board and Rod ( #7618520019) sold on Ebay for a record $164.00 (shipping additional). I have NEVER seen one go for this much money...ANYWHERE :!: :!:

I must admit it was in VERY NICE SHAPE, BUT...That's a LOT OF MONEY for 2 parts that would have cost you slightly over $50.00 from a salvage yard :!: :!: :!:

F.Y.I: An IH Cookie Cutter (# 7239500714) sold on Ebay for a record $927.00 :!: :!:  . The last one on Ebay, prior to this one, had sold for $525.00 just a few months back :!: :!: :!:

They really should reproduce those parts. I know an O Rig-Inal cookie cutter is cool, but $1000 bucks for one. I guess whatever you want to spend your money on. Where does one keep a $1000 cookie cutter at home, in the junk drawer? Brandon.

I agree Brandon, I'd rather have another Cub!

Country,
I watched the 2 previous grass boards and finally decided I'd just have to keep my metal grass rod!
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

The collectibles like the cookie cutter just show that there are IH Tractor Collectors, IH Truck Collectors, IH Implement collectors, and just IH Collectors.

Personally, I think this is a little overboard... $164.00 :!:  :?: :?: :?:

Ok, so it is original... but you can get the decals..

But if you visit this page Cub-22 Mower you can download the full size plans to make your own. The Grass Board was taken from an original IH Grass Board for the Cub-22 Mower... the original for Ellie-Mae's Mower that Em's uncle Clorice still has in the garage next door..

I can guarantee you, it will be the same.. I know cause Gord just had 3 made.... and they are perfect copies.. I have the template in my shop..

Save your money.. make one! That is one of the reasons that stuff is on the server......

Yikes, sometimes somebody just has to have it.... I can tell you from experience that it can be very unpredictible on ebay. But then again it is like that at most auctions.

Guess I am glad the float was stuck on my 50 at the auction or I would have an 86 town car in the garage instead of a Cub.
