Wheel Weight

Postby Junior » Tue Aug 01, 2006 6:59 pm

Will a rear wheel weight from a Farmall A fit my cub? How do you measure the the carriage bolts? From the square part to the end or from under the head to the end to get three inches. thanks, Junior

They will fit, but have a larger center, and a slightly different curve to them. carriage bolts are measured form under the square part to the end.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Junior - the bolt pattern on the A weights is nearly the same as the cub and the weights will bolt up to the wheel. The center opening, as you know is larger on the A weights. And I'm not positive that the curvature is the same so bolt length may have to be longer.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I wonder if the model A weight weighs more than the one for the cub. How much does the Cub weight weigh? Junior

Cub rear weights are ballpark 150 lbs.

The curve is not the same and do not fit tight on the wheel. I have them on my Loboy. I used long carraige bolts and cut of excess. Painted up they do not look bad. I paid 75 got tired of looking ror cub weigths. Probably could find cheaper.

If you are coming to Cub-Arama I have several STACKS of original Cub rear weights. You could pick them up. They are cheap enought (only 65.00 pair), its the shipping that hurts. But we have shipped them all the way to CA before
