Hey guys...Charlotte, TN is only 4 hours west of me. Somebody got a DEAL ! :wink: I keep seein' more and more older Cubs showin' up with implement style seats on them :? I think they might have been ORIGINAL equipment in some areas? :? I always thought the cloth-padded PAN seat was the only seat Cubs were shipped with? :?

The stock seat was the bare pan seat -- your cloth minus the cloth and padding..

The Cub depicted has what is known here as a jewel buster (first word substituted for the second half of base-ball), and was standard issue on implements and stuff.

If you look at Ellie, she has an original non-padded pan seat on her.

But, I too have been seeing a lot of Cubs lately with these jewel busters on em. I think what happens, is that folks who need to replace the seat, grab one out of the barn and bolt em up.. saves a bunch of money.. not all that uncomfortable.. but I don't want to use em....
