I now have my second cub! The story behind it is that it was originally my Dads tractor and he sold it to relative’s way back when. They recently wanted to sell it on E-Bay and I said I would buy it from them since I wanted to keep it in the family. I drove from Memphis to Hinckley Ohio (up near Cleveland) to pick it up, almost 1400 miles round trip. I said I would find out what a fair price would be so that is where I need your help. Please let me know what you think would be a fair price for me to pay for the following equipment.
1955 Cub – runs good, good tires and fast hitch. It has a dented gas tank, stripped out mounting pad bolt hole (where the sickle bar would attach) and a few oil leeks. The Cub also came with a grader blade, 194 single plow, Woods 42 mower and sickle bar. Everything seems to have all the parts needed for hookup. The sickle bar needs repairing or it can be used as spare parts. Please let me know what an honest price would be for this equipment. Thanks for your help.

Hi Jere. I'm not the pro at this. They'll be on shortly, but my guess would be around $1000 just for the cub (site unseen ballpark)
After looking at your pic, I'd go at least $1500-$1750 just for the Cub. It's a nice one
Then my guess from noticing others selling prices on used equipment
Grader-$150
plow-$75
Woods-$175
sickle-$75

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Jere:
That is a nice Cub.. and it has the 11 bar grille and the Stainless Steel insignia to boot
Looks good!
Ok, what is it worth..
2 schools of thought..
1st school says it is worth what you are willing to pay for it and what the owner is willing to accept for it.
2nd school says it is worth x amount of bucks depending on location, condition, included options/accessories etc.
I will leave out speculation on the 1st school.. and limit to the 2nd school.. You are getting a very nice Cub. Looks pretty neat. Looks well cared for, and well maintained. It has a significant amount of implements. But it also has a few issues.. the stripped out bolt hole is a concern.. that will be either a Heli-coil or a replacement housing. The dent is no big deal and can be dealt with when sealing the tank eventually.
Woods Mower -- $250.00 - is fair but on the low side
Cub-22 Sickle Bar Mower -- $150.00 max
Cub-194 -- $150.00 is fair
Cub-54 series Blade -- $250.00 plus up here
Rick seems to have a handle on the implement prices down there, so probably go with his as average..
I would agree on the $1,000.00 for the Cub, maybe as high as $1,250 plus something for the implements, but that is me..
I am leaving the family connection out because that is how eBay would be viewed.. hope this is useful

The only issue you might run into is if your relatives go to Ebay for prices. Most of the time when you go and look at something, people will say they saw this or that on Ebay for "Big Bucks". In reality, the final sale usually doesn't have any bidders. There's a bunch of dream sellers sometimes on Ebay and all this is doing is running up the prices over what they actually are worth.
I hope your relatives are fair in their thinking, too, for your sake.
Rick

Clem I think that's a good number. Toolman that's also a great idea. If I could buy back my Daddy's tractor I would. If they want $2,000 pay it. For the missed opportunity of a few hundred dollars you could have your Daddy's tractor.
In my opinion it is not just another CUB. This has a story and connection. That is what makes owning these beautiful little machines such a pleasure. You can relate your passion to those that ask about your tractor, by saying "Yeah this used to be my DAD's"
