Cubfest Northeast 2006 Minus 9 Days
Boy the last month before a Cubfest just flies by. Progress so far:
The barn has lights and outlets and is just waiting for the project Cubs to arrive.
The shed is just about ready for Don McCombs to do his carburator magic.
The garage is clean and the tables are lined up for a gathering place.
Tom is bringing his trailer on Saturday with tents and chairs.
The head count is up to over 30.
I still don't have a good count on tractors but figure around 10.
There are 5 or 6 50 gallon plastic drums just waiting for new homes. LET THERE BE ELECTROLYSIS.
The shirts are being made and awaiting new wearers.
And on and on.
So one more time here are the directions:
From the north. Take I90 East towards Boston. Get off at exit 12. Turn right. Go 2.1 miles to red light. Turn left. Go 1.1 miles look for Cub on the front lawn of house on the left.
From the south on I87 Thruway. Take spur towards Boston. Get off on exit B1. Take right off exit to route 9. Go 2.1 miles to red light. Turn left. Go 1.1 miles look for Cub on the front lawn of house on the left.
From the east (Mass Turnpike). Get off on exit B1. Take right off exit to route 9. Go 2.1 miles to red light. Turn left. Go 1.1 miles look for Cub on the front lawn of house on the left.
From the West on the NYS thruway take exit 24. Take I90 East towards Boston. Get off at exit 12. Turn right. Go 2.1 miles to red light. Turn left. Go 1.1 miles look for Cub on the front lawn of house on the left.
If more detail is required please let me know.
Is everyone getting excited.

Cecil,
I presume you've ordered up 60 degree daytime temperatures, a touch of frost in the morning, and brilliant blue skies to go along with the reds, oranges, yellows, bronzes, and remaining greens of the great northeast.
Looking forward to a great weekend!
Peter

Excellent!!!!
I know what busy is like Cecil, but you got your hands full.
Looks like (sounds like) I need my clutch fingers adjusted, possibly we could squeeze that in, as it doesn't look like I will have enough time to do it.
Also, I have some stray parts that I didn't need/use on the Cub. The best 'treasure' is a 'dogbone' tread rear tire..... good tread.... if anybody needs it let me know. I threw out the tube. It's an Armstrong I believe. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/Bu ... 3Small.jpg

Pete, I'm really keeping a close look at the extended forcast lately. The nice thing is, even if we don't have perfect weather we will have near perfect fellowship.
Rondelle, I will leave some of the side lawn for you. How much do you need and acre or two?
BW I'll trade your Woods parts I have, for my coveralls that you have.

Cecil, I gave your coveralls a good scrubbing... but took the strange tool parts out first.... I will be sure to have them in tow.
Rudi, I have your box of parts too... haven't opened it. Wait till you see what I done with the rear rockshaft you gave me!
Got a new brake line on the truck, so off to fetch the trailer.
I can also grab some washing soda (I dragged a box all the way to Gene's CubFest) if anybody needs some. Guess I should see how the Stop and Shop is stocked.
Getting the lights together now.... and can't wait to see you all!
Larry

Got a dumb question.....
Will there be a swap shop or something like that setup? Such as an area for stuff to lug home to Canada
Larry, there is already room set aside in the van for the return trip for that box and a couple of other things... !!!! I am looking forward to seeing Cathy

I am looking for stuff for my Cultivators especially another set of guards. Would like to get other parts as well for the 144 setup, so when that stuff pops up, I am kinda hoping to be able to bring some home..
Same with a few other small items.. things that won't weigh a ton.. but useful things that aren't available in Canada.. at least not this part..
As for what they all would be... whatever catches the eye I guess... a fertilizer unit would be nice, and maybe a broadcast spreader would be nice.. but that all depends on prices too. Remember, I am bringing the keeper of the bank account with me.. and she decides what I get to bring home
Now, ifn all the Better Halfs can sort of have a meet-n-greet so they can get their forum really off the ground, that would be nice...and helpful in the parts acquistion category...
