Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
I will be undertaking painting this winter so I am sure I will be asking some questions then. For now I am just reading as much technical stuff as time will permit. I have a good background in mechanical things, be it limited to very small things! Nice that you can work on the Cub's without a PhD in electronics!
I will post some pictures in the near future.

Congrats on the purchase and the ride. I recently purchased my first cub(154) and i couldn't get her home quick enough. I rented a trailer and couldn't believe the view in the review mirror that the cub followed me home and it was mine!!!!! I had a very bad day today and the cub has a full tank of gas so i did some leaf mulching for 2 hours and its a stress reliever for sure. I have no clue why i didn't buy a cub years ago after driving one on the farm as a kid. There's nothing like having a tractor except having a few more.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Hey BigBill...You're not kiddin' about a tractor being a stress reliever. If you drove a Cub as a kid...then you already know, like the rest of us, that the Cub becomes the "Time Machine" that takes us all back to a time when life was less stressful, and MUCH SIMPLER

Welcome! 23 miles? Wow! I"m green (oops!) with envy, as I drove my first and only Cub about 200 yards home when I bought it. Actually, I drove it home and paid for it the next day. But, I've made up for that lack 'o seat time in the ensuing three years. Mowing with my loboy is therapeutic for me. Enjoy!
