I snagged those pics. Good information to keep on file and I will add them to the Sketches and Plans section in time..

Seems like a reasonably simple project to make. Reminicient of stuff we were taught to do in Metal Shop back in the 60's. The most difficult part will be hammering out the attachment spade point... a torch, anvil and a sledge would probably do the trick.

We will see.. Someone I am sure will make one or two or 3 :wink: :D :D

? - Did something attach in the hole?
I seem to remember an old IH 2-row in the 40's that had a kind of twisted iron knife or spade thng that actually was supposed to make the mark.
That later evolved into a disc that turned and was much more successful in making a mark you could actually see when the seedbed got a little iffy.

Larry,
The sight rod bolts to the right headlight to give the operator something on the tractor to line up with a point on on the far side of the field. This keeps the rows straight when planting.

now that I understand how it mounts.. makes sense when you look at the spade end... it sure would be a help. Dad just told me to pick a tree and sight up on that. Works ifn you got trees that line up with how you want the row to aligned. :roll: :wink: :lol: :lol:

Nice Setup! What kind of seed plates do you have for the duplex hopper? Is there some way to clean those hoppers to look that good? I bought a nice one this weekend but it's painted white. Sharp setup though. Brandon. :D
