My 4 year old son & I spent about an hour on my '48 on Sunday. It was a balmy 20 deg. but we still had a blast! Although in Greenwich CT, we live on an old, private road with several miles of cruising ground. Yesterday didn't get much above 18. I was thinking about putting on my shorts today because it went WAY up to 22

My 154 cub and my newly aquired 122 cub cadet are in the garage snug as a bug in a rug. I had a blast yesterday I had to move my 70 cub cadet so it fired right up even though it was outside in the cold and covered. I got some seat time I took it down the driveway and on the front lawn even in the snow with the deck raised up. It was very cold and windy but i never felt it till i parked it. As soon as the temps hit 30+ degrees i'll fire up the 154 for a cruise too.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Hey guys...Had my 1971 Cub Cadet Model 73...My 1948 "Carol Elizabeth" Cub and my 1971 JD 112...all went for rides last Saturday around the back country roads here. I always get "waves" from neighbors, and the strangers just sorta stare with that "Where da ya suppose he's goin' Margaret?" look on their faces :!: :?
It was a "balmy" 40 degrees and sunny :!:  I make it a habit of tryin' to take at least one out for a ride each weekend...Just to charge up their battery...and MINE too :!:

In northern Utah we don't have snow either. I walked down to look at my garden and cranked on the cub. It started first pop. I used it to level a pile of dirt. I tried to move a pile of rocks but they were frozen solid. It is great to have seat time whether it is snow or dirt.

Yes, Mike, the pictures are good. To see the tractor itself it looked better to me in the feature tractor lineup at Portland, IN. The pictures look COLD!

Got some seat time in myself last night. The wind has been drifting the snow across our lane for two days. I had to cook the the spark plugs on the stove top (my wife loves the smell of fresh roasted d21's...Not!) and charge the battery before my Cub would even think of starting. It was about -22C or about -7F here last night and breezy. It was also a good night for flooding our outdoor rink.
