Has anyone done a compression check on this engine :?:

Yes, I did a compression check myself. My guage is not the best but I came up with compression in the mid ninties in all cylinders. Not like new but acceptable. A major overhaul would probably help. after all this machine is nearly as old as me and I feel like I'm worn out.

I would have to say it's electric, Be sure the points & condenser was for a dist. not a mag. As cheap as they are ,try a set from a Borg Warner parts place I've had the same problem on a Kohler 8HP would not rev up,Swap points & cond.cure it. ALSO CHECK POINT GAP.
