TELLIN LIKE IT WAS

Postby mrkleen » Sat Sep 22, 2007 5:40 pm

Went to a sale today, and among other stuff was the following:

Two nice Cubs--one a little niceer than the other. Neither was perfect but both a good 8+. Best one went for $1200 other a little less. A two-way plow with hardware--went for $25. One set of cultivators--went for a little over $100. Two sickle mowers plus a few extra parts less than $50 for the pair. Set of rear wheel weights $35 (I think).

Now I have a sneaky feeling that the fella that got it all frequents this board so we'll see if he fesses up.

You shoulda been there.

PS: Got a really nice 474 IH with 609 hours. (wait for applause)

Thank you very much.

Those are lower prices than are seen in my area.

Lonnie, was the sale up the road from you that you told me about last week when we met? I guess I shoulda been there.

Btw, I put a new starter on the '47 and she runs like a top.

i went to a sale a couple weeks ago and saw a cub that was beautiful it was nicer than factory shape, i could even see myself in the paint! IT went for only $2200 which i thought was a steal for the guy who bought it although it did not have hydrolics :?

Barnyard it was indeed the one I told you about. You drove right by it on your way out. The main reason I posted was to bring attention to what I thought was an absolute steal on the implements.

Now I guess I should have gone back down. Probably would have gotten myself in trouble though!

If I had been there some of those implements would be in my barn right now! :)

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

LOL...I thought I was the only one around with a 474. I see one around ocasionally but not to often. I wish mine was only 609 hrs instead of 3200.
It should be a good tractor for you. Good German diesel that will run forever. Make sure you keep the hydraulics clean and serviced.

You mean you were there and YOU didn't buy all that stuff? The other fella wasn't "ljw" was it?
