The buttons were mounted on the steering wheel shaft support post just below the big 90 degree bend. It was a strap / clamp arrangement and the wires ran down the support post and then forward.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Mike, If you look very closely at the button mounting bracket in the pictures from Jamie , I have to say that that bracket looks very familiar To me it looks like a modified rain cap? At least the clamp part of it. What do you guys think? I believe it would work?
Rudi, You said what I was thinking about delco and such, makes sense. Be nice to see if there were markings on the horn button too.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Ah yeah.. that would be nice. Never even thought of that. Sure would help in equipping our Cubs if we got the part number or something off of the NOS one huh?
Who is volunteering for the new position of Official Cub Spook ?????

Ron, that's it kept racking my brain trying to figure out what that reminded me of, this is why I need to get my shop walls finished by the end of next month, so I can install a computer in the barn in order to be quicker at this.
I have a raincap laying around, probably too large, but it should at least shed some light on "If" it is similar?
