with the tranny fluid in the plug holes and the plugs finger tight it would push air and a little fluid past plugs on each cylinder.

Three things to do.

Double check the engine timing.

Compression test, dry and wet, with compression tester.

Vacuum test while cranking the engine.

Compression test will tell you if you have sufficient compression and a stuck valve or valves.

Vacuum test will tell you if the manifold, and manifold gaskets are good and provide an indication of the engine ability to draw in the air fuel mix.

Since you've verified spark we'll check that off the list. If it was running previously and nothing was changed the timing should be right but check the position of the plug wires to make sure someone didn't get them on the wrong tower on the cap. I believe you said the plugs were dry. That would seem to indicate fuel delivery. I believe the vacuum test is most important at this point.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

This sounds very similar to the problems Rick had with the 184 last week.

Ron, my cub set without being started up for about a year and when I tried to start it a couple of weeks ago it was only hitting on two cylinders. What I found after pulling the plugs was the valves sticking open. I freed them all up but one by shooting them with lubricant from the top. The last one was a dog. I had to pull the valve cover off and turn the valve back and forth to break it loose. I guess it is easy for the valves to gum up if it sits for a long period of time without being started.

I moved the demo project to the shop today. Starter out. I couldn't get it to start with the crank so I moved to plan B. It fired right up.
This is an old picture. After the first start I could hand crank it. Maybe it would work for you.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.
