Another thought and this is going to take a whole bunch of research and comparison. Look for a piston from another industrial engine that is slightly larger in diameter. Perhaps one for a 70 mm bore.

Consider purchasing a complete running engine from one of the advertisers on this board. Or a rebuildable block. Of the two choices I listed. I would go with a running engine. Upon receipt dismantle the engine then rebuild or renew as needed.

Thanks for the ideas. Sleeves are available just have to find them.

They are readily available. It is knowing where to look for them.

Here we go. Now someone is pointing me in the direction I want to go.

Thank you!

Would you post the price of the sleeves.

I orderd their catalog. Apparently sleeves suitable for adaptation to the Cub C-60 engine are listed in their offerings. I did not find a price list.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I finally found the seeves or liners. Very affordable compared to buying another engine or block. Northeast Machine 1-800-888-3760. I need 2 sleeves 6.5 inches long. Part number 460 at $19.28 each. Shipping is $10. Total price $49.56. These are cast iron and bore finish size is 2.625. Sleeves have a 3/32 wall thickness. The machinest already measured and gave me dimensions for the sleeves and these fit perfect.

Thank you to everyone who helped.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but if you ran out of oil I would think there woudl be a lot more problems than just sleeves. main and crank bearings, crankshaft, cam shaft and bearings, etc.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Correct! Have all the other parts needed. My son was changing the oil forget to refill and started the tractor. He noticed no oil pressure and shut it down.

as a general rule to sleve a cub engine the engine machineshop has to order a sleve that is close to the right size. then bore the block to fit the sleve to the block then they bore the sleve to proper size for the piston.I dont think the sleves are avalible to the general public.. It is best to have the machineshop do the work. Than way your shure to get the proper sleves.

Thats right. The Machinest in his Machine Shop who is doing the work for me measured the block and told me to get a sleeve with a finish bore of 2.625 and a wall thickness of 3/32. The part number I provided met those measurements. Anyone can purchase the sleeves. Call up Northeast Machine and give them your credit card number. The sleeves show up in a few days UPS.
Hope this helps you.

I was wondering for a second there if you were doing a Cub or JD engine...
