BB doing a little playing

Postby Bugler » Sun Dec 02, 2007 2:49 pm

Well I got up on BB today and started some test plowing with Cub 152 belly disk plow,,,,,,,,Barbara was supervising this test run,,,boy did we have fun,,,BB got down to business and did a super job pushing the dirt,,,, 10 inches deep and about 8 inches wide,,,,,after about 40 minutes of running I noticed that BB was looking like she was a little hot so we shut her down,,,,I plan on doing a water system clean up tomorrow and then test again,,,,,,will get a radiator gasket ordered tomorrow also. I am happy with the progress that we have made thus far with BB. :D :D :D :D

Lookin good Bob. Like Ron said, it's not unusual to see a little steam after a reasonable workout. Don't rush in trying to fix a problem that isn't necessarily there.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I read that if the water stays above the core that all is ok,,,I did drain the system before and it was very clean,,,,,, I dicided that I really didn't need to remove the radiator and clean the bottom,,,,,,,added new 50/50 anti-freeze. There is a 7lbs pressure cap on her. Thanks for the help. :D :D :D :D

looks good bugler. i was just wondering if i was gonna have to go all the way to the east palatka fruit market to get some boiled peanuts. you could grow some there and ship 'em to me, or i could come and get them when you say they are ready.

I'm not sure if it is a pressure cap on those.I'd better chack. On the water level it will find its own like previsily said.Just make sure of the mixture and it has fluid.Looks warm down there in GA.Warm here today but rain,42 degrees.Kevin thanks for the pics

Yea Ron we will have a pumpkin patch again this year,,,, I like my pumpkin pie and cake,,,,,,, I thought about just catching more of those Ohio pumpkins but after the one I tried last year, I don't think the hawgs would like them,,,,,,,,,it's a good thing they can't get them big ones over the mountains.

Bob
with that 7lb cap best thing to do is to throw it far away.
2cd choice is to lossen it to the safty catch and run it that way. Yes the cubs can run with a 7lb cap, however they don't need it and it just causes other problems

I don't have a non-pressure cap for it right now,,,,but will get one,,make that 2,,,,tomorrow if I can find one,,,,,,, I checked DD and she has the same pressure cap ,,,,,,I checked the fluid level in BB and it is about a 1 1/4 inch from the overflow tube. I guess I am ok,,,,,,, If it don't rain tonite I will get back at it tomorrow. :D :D :D :D

Bugler, looks like you're just having toooooooooooo much fun. But that is the one thing I enjoy most with the Cub, plowing and smelling that good fresh plowed earth, nothing like it. Proud for you and keep up the good work, Pete

The 7# cap is fine. If that much pressure causes a leak, THEN you can change the cap (or fix the leak).
