CT Nano-CubFest

Postby JohnL (BlackJeep) » Sat Jan 05, 2008 6:42 pm

According to dictionary.com; nano = "Smaller than micro-, and used in the same rather loose and connotative way."

Today I had the pleasure of visiting with Cecil and Pris at my house. Below is a picture of Cecil "working" in my shop. Cecil could have faked it and made it look like he was working, but in reality we were just talking about working...

The One Way sign over Cecil's head was unintentional, I swear!

It was a great day in any case. We talked Cubs, I got some advice about setting up my timing, and we had a great pizza for lunch. I'm looking forward to seeing Cecil and Pris again in February at his mini-CubFest (way larger than a nano-CubFest).

Have a great weekend all!

John,
Glad you enjoyed your time with Cecil.
If you are calling yours a CT Nano-CubFest, ours this morning with Cecil & Pris must have been a CT HalfNano-CubFest.
Glad you got some good info from Cecil.
See you in February as well, providing I don't get sick this year.

Yup, that's the air conditioning. I have a very narrow operating temperature range...

Well it's 9 PM and we are home safe and sound. Thanks to Peter, Donna and the kids for a great breakfast. We enjoyed our rather short visit. As for John and Nancy we also had a great time. The pizza was wonderful as was the time we spent with you. It's a shame we all live so far apart and do not get to spend much time together. I think that's why the time we do have to spend with any of our Cub family is so prescious to us. We look forward to seeing many of you on February 16 at the anual winter MINIFEST.

I notice, with certain interest, what appears to be some type of non-skid or tape on the floorboard of that work in progress ...... what is it and was it part of the original off-the-assembly-line Cub? While it might be a bit hard to keep clean, it surely looks good and would be user "accomodating" ..... bare metal can be slippery. Would appreciate any information you could provde. Thx, JH

Joe - the non-skid strips are not original. But they are indeed a good idea. Go to your favorite home improvement center. Look for some non-skid strips for stair treads.

Must have been killing Cecil to not be able to turn a wrench! Is that a Cub wristwatch??

I took a spin by one of the neighbors and to my delight, the youngster's Cub was decorated on the front lawn. I told dad he needs to get on the site and up to Cecils for Feb mini-fest with the carb. (sounds like we will have a row of em)

Sounds like you kids had fun, that is 4 great people in one place! Hope to see ya'll soon!
