Mini fest WKY, sort of and #8

Postby deputy jailer » Wed Jan 09, 2008 1:22 am

Well I got the pleasure of meeting JimT today here in good ol Western Ky. Jim came up to pick Ron Lubke's snow plow up for the next leg of cub express. I picked the plow up from Ralph saturday during our other Ky cubfest.

Jim and I went on a road trip to pick up a 1947 Farmall A that my uncle had traded for earlier in the day. We discussed tractors and swap war stories, so I guess you could say it was a mini fest. We had some hands on and JIm got to laugh at me trying to back my buddies trailer up    It was a real trip to finally get to put face to a name on here.

After the tractor made it back to the shop and Jim headed back towards TN that when my uncle broke the news to me. He gave me the A. I had a feeling I would end up with it but not this fast :D SO #8 is now in "podges" collection

Had a good time meeting up with Josh. It's good to put a face with the name on the forum.

He's a good guy, but needs a little more practice using his mirrors while backing up. :P   He did good though.

He even checked the wife's genny to make sure it was working. It was.

The plow made it safely arcoss the Kentucky state line and into Tennessee (neutral territory) under the cover of darkness without being detected. Now it's up to Ron to get it safely into Georgia.

Hey Josh

Keep on practicing you will get it :!: Actually I have to use the mirrors now If I try to look back I mess up. I hate it when I have to back a trailer with the four wheeler. And you would have laughed the first time I tried to back a articulated dump truck

I came down through Bowling Green, KY to Nashville and then on into Maury County. I miss ya by a little bit.

I do go by your way for work from time to time though.

Congrats on the new arrival. Which one of us are you trying to catch?
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Well turns out I wrote the numbers down wrong. The newly inherited A is a 1947 instead of the 45.
