Touch control noise

Postby buster613sx » Sun Jan 13, 2008 10:30 pm

Hi there. Every once in a while my hydraulics make a sound similar to a piece of wood going through a band saw. Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks.

Air?

I am not sure about the sound description but I would start by Bleeding the system. I would guess you have some air in the lines

Been thinking aobut your question overnight, and the first thing I would do is follow Joe's advice, and if that doesn't work I would make sure the rockshaft arm on the TC unite were grease, and check for anything binding, especially if you have a fast hitch.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

And if the once in a while is only at the upper or lower ends of the movement, check the adjustment of the stops for the control lever. Adjustment is in the TC service book.

Mine gets noisy if it is cold, and the fluid is a little low.
