The Maritime provinces are being hit with a Nor'easter plus a weather bomb again
Been snowing since about 3 or 4 am and we have winds in excess of 110kph or 70mph. These are supposed to be gusts, but they are basically sustained. I just watched the 15/40meter element on my Thunderbird go perfectly vertical. If it wasn't for the stiffeners that keep the ends of my boom horizontal, it would have done continuous 360's!
I guess we have about 7 or 8 inches down, but with the high winds, I have drifts in my driveway what driveway :?: over 3 feet high. The adirondack deck chairs that I made, well, they blew off the deck about a half hour ago, and the birds are comical as can be as they fight to gain a little headway getting to the suet blocks
Some areas such as the Halifax basin where Wade lives have well over 50cm of snow already, and I have a feeling that although it was only forecast for a total of 25cm in my area (we are well past that already), we may end up with more than the last big storm - possibly 60cm or more.
I guess that means I am going to get some more serious seat time :!:
Wish you all were here
I really need to find a way to put up a weather station for my wife's computer - that way we can have some real time data and maybe some live cam coverage as well!!!!

In eastern Mo., we had 68 today, but 4 days ago high was 20 with a low of 6. I prefer this weather.

It is almost midnight and the totals for today have come in. 2 feet of snow in Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe. Depending on where you are, some have drifts from 2 foot to 5 foot high. I can't even see the shop door from the house
I guess I am gonna hafta dig a bit before I can get Ellie out of the shop to start plowing
I love winter! Oh and it hasn't stopped yet either, so I expect we will probably get another 5 or 10 cm's of snow overnight.
Saturday we are supposed to get hit with that Colorado low that is headed our way as well -- I wonder how much more snow that one will bring
