Anyone have a cross number for the rear transmission spline bearing.
I have the 3 piece type consisting of 351535R1, 352402R91, and 351536R1. The newer part number is 357931R91. Don't know if these are interchangable or not.
Thanks,
Donny

Donny:
According to the information I have - 357931R91 is actually this:
Bearing, transmission spline shaft rear needle, cub tractors w/werial no 180614 and above and all cub lo-boy tractors.
Whereas
351535R1 is Shield, transmission spline shaft rear bearing used with transmission case 351530R1 thru 351530R5, cub tractors w/serial no. 180613 and below
352402R91 is Bearing, transmission spline shaft rear roller, used with transmission case 351530R1 thru 351530R5, cub tractors w/serial no. 180613 and below
351536R1 is Shield, transmission spline shaft front bearing, used with transmission case 351530R1 thru 351530R5, cub tractors w/serial no. 180613 and below
So, from my limited experience with this catalog program, I would say no, it is not interchangeable

Donny,
The bearings I have seen are needles running directly on the shaft. Not a good idea... especially when the shaft wears a little. Lubrication is an iffy thing. A little field engineering to reduce the shaft a little makes it possible to use a real bearing.
A ND 3L04 or a SKF 6004 has the same OD and an ID just a few thou smaller. I'm thinking a sealed bearing with permanent lube would be a good idea.
According to my notes, the shaft needs to be reduced to .787"... just enough to clean it up.
