Anybody ever used the electronic ignition conversion?

Just wondering if it is worth spending the $$.

Thanks

It's been a while, but I rmember some posts about it on the ATIS board. You need 12 volt system, and conversion kit was aobut a hundred dollars. General opinion was that on a low rpm, low performance engine like a cub there wasn't much gain. Supposedly saved on replacing points, but the points on my 48 work tractor have only had to be replaced once in 17 years.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
