Switched cut-out for a regulator.
I understand the wiring diagrams but for the fuse connection.
I got this so far:
L wire from regulator to kill/run button 1rst terminal
2nd terminal at button goes to (-) on coil
Then I ran a jumper wire piggy backed from the L wire/kill-run button connection terminal to the fuse at light switch. Same terminal that was used for the F on the old cut-out.
Is this correct?
48 cub, battery start/ignition, 4-pos. switch.

Yes and no. The connections you made sound correct. But the F terminal of the generator does not ground through the fuse. You are supplying voltage from the switch terminal to the lights through the fuse. With a voltage regulator, there is no connection from the field terminal to the switch any more. The regulator makes it unnecessary as it now controls the charge rate. The fuse, by the way, was never a part of the field circuit. Even with the cut-out.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
