Got the Florida Cubs Home.

Postby Kirk » Sun Feb 13, 2005 6:48 am

To All,

Well I did get all the Cubs from S. Florida home this past week. :D :D
(I have pics to post but will need Dennis' help to get the job done) It was interesting when the tractor trailer showed up with no ramps :?  . Luckily, there was a nearby packing plant that was vacant of which we drove all seven Cubs to and loaded em up on their dock.

What was really tough was figuring out how we would unload them when we got to my house in north FL. After calling around P'Cola searching for ramps to buy, beg, borrow.......we called on our friend that is a service mng at a heavy eguipment/ Deere place (and we go to church with). He not only allowed us to unload them, he delivered them to my home with his trucks and man-power. :P .

Funny thing.....during the unloading process, we had 3 different cars stop at the house to see if there was a tractor show/meet taking place.

Currently, I'm cleaning them up, changing fluids and just some minor adjustments. BUT MAN, DO I LOVE EM.!! I have driven all of them (well, except for one that's nots real happy) everyday!! What a hoot.

Sadly though, I will sell six of them and keep one yellow one for myself. And a man came by yesterday who heard about them and took one home with him :(

But I'm looking for 4 good floorpans and 3 sets of fenders. I've got an email in to JP/Jamie but haven't heard back yet.

Hopefully I'll get that picture to show these guys off before they all get purchased.

But I must say, if I had never found this "Cub family" I would have never, ever be into Cubs like this. Yall know that you're the best in helping one another out, caring about each other....... Well, I'm just proud to be associated with yall :!:

Hey Kirk, sounds like you're having a great time with the cubs. I would consider taking one of off your hands but, at present, I have four cubs and a B Farmall on the premises.......NO ROOM :!: Good luck with the disbursement. I know they will all find loving, caring homes. :D

Lots of luck with them. Shame you can't keep 1 cub and 1 low boy.

BD,

That's a great praise coming from you......but I'm not worthy. YOU, my friend, are now and always will be DA MAN!!!

I just got lucky and had myself a little adventure. In fact, if I don't sell several more of these in order to give my wife her money back I won't be going on any more adventures 8)

I'm going to try and get some pics posted....maybe tomorrow.

Thx for all of your support.
Kirk

Kirk...You are INDEED "Da Man" (so aptly put by the BIG DOG his self) . What a heartbreak it must be to start to see them leave your home and go off to others!

Well, at least you rescued the entire bunch :D ...and keeping at least ONE for yourself is always a DANG GOOD IDEA  ! Can't wait to see the pics 8) !!!
