Generator repolarization
I forgot to repolarize the generator before starting up the tractor. It seems to be charging just fine. I have only run the tractor twice for a few minutes. Is it still worth doing? I had the generator out and replaced the voltage regulator. I'm worried about burning the contact points, etc. Thanks, Jim

If the generator is charging in the proper direction now, you do not need to polarize it.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
