One point disk hookup

Postby nenenick » Thu Apr 21, 2005 11:36 am

This my seem a silly question, but here goes! Has anyone ever hooked up a one point disk to earlier type cubs (2 point?) I found a really nice disk for a cub but its for fast hitch type. I would like to somehow use it on my cub(47).

thanks

you can buy a 1-ponit hitch that mounts on the cub. I have one and I love it. I have a plow, disk, back blade, yard rake for mine.

With a welder, some steel, and imagination, anything is possible.

Me? I'd probably start by seeing if I could fabricate a fast hitch pocket that bolted to the drawbar. Then, I'd pull the pins that allow the drawbar to pivot up and down, hook up the disk, then run a chain up to the rear rockshaft. Crude, but for what's essentially a trailing implement, good enough.

Pat:

Would work for Manual Lift as well as Touch Control. Principle is the same.

Again, always looking for sketches, plans, drawings, pics and narratives along with dimensions to post to the server...
