Oil in Water

Postby bruce » Wed May 18, 2005 8:17 am

My 49 Cub is leaking oil into the cooling system - not the other way around, however. Runs fine, has power.
Is this a head gasket?
Can I put something in the oil to stop the leak?[/i][/b]

Bruce, very unusual problem. Have you recently purchased the cub? i was wondering if somoen may have put some lubricant in the radiator for the nonexistant water pump. My first suggestion would be to flush out the cooling system good and refill it. Then run it a while and see if it gets more oil in coolant.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

The only thing I can think of is a cracked block or an original bad casting in the block that might have been porous and is seeping through a pore/s. :?:
Then came Bronson
