hard to start cub

i have a 1950 farmall cub it is very hard to start.turns over for ever finally it starts the only way it will start is if the throttle is at idle.i have had the carb gone thru still it floods very easy.is the carb out of ajustment or what? once it starts it runs fine.after about 30 minutes of mowing and i shut it off it is impossible to start.

What I would do is go back to basics. A tune-up. Points, condensor, rotor and cap plus plugs. Then set the timing.
Get a good IH rebuild kit and rebuild the carb. It is quite possible that the float level is too high.

WOULD that be a Mag or Distributor if Mag it may need rebuilding. Or maybe a leaky intake do you know how to check with propane torch. But it kind of sounds like you need a rebuild of the Mag or Dist along with a new coil. Let me know if you need anything to do with a Mag.

i have done the tune up thing and the carb kit not long ago.i will check to see if the float is to high then turn to the mag.
