Harold,

Only the later ones had the overlapping steering rods. This made the Ackerman effect work out better. The shorter wheelbase of a Lo-Boy requires the inside wheel to toe out more in a turn than an F-Cub does, but it wasn't used on the earlier ones. I think the change was made in mid 1958.

Thanks George. My Dad's newest is a '60 Lo-boy, and it has the overlap. Now I can tell him why it has it. 8)

It also has a '47-'54 grille and hood on it. The first LoBoys were '55s, with the "300/400" style grilles and chrome emblems on the sides.

I would bet that it's either a heavily modified Farmall, or a prototype LoBoy.
