Guess my rear light IS worth something...

Postby Buzzard Wing » Thu Jun 02, 2005 6:05 pm

I was pretty pleased that both Cubs came with pretty much everything intact (the lights even all work on the yellow one).

I knew it was pretty good to have the rear light on the 50', just didn't know how special.... turns out to be $152 special.

I have a light on the back of mine too, 1947. I took it off when I painted, it is stuck "on" and the switch no longer works, so I left it off, guess I'll have to put it back on. Didn't know they were an option.

The high dollar ones have a red ligh built in, or on top on some of them with a switch to turn them on and off.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Does that have the red light inside of it?
If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use duct tape.

Keith: You did very well. I believe the lens usually sell for more than you paid for the entire unit. I sold a lens a couple of years ago for $20 +. Mine was the cheapest of several which he considered. Dan

The light is not the one with the little bulb for red in the same housing, it is the red on top. Like this (sorry, but the only picture I have of it)
