Brendan, Nice looking JD's. I have a 67 110 round fender and I would like to have a 140 H3 some day (closest I've come so far is when I stuffed a 14 hp engine in one of our 200's) but I really want to get a Cadet first.
Rudi, I'm surprised to hear you had to replace the deck already. I know when I bought my F525 the dealer said it was a good machine but would not last like my 200. I think he was wrong though as it will be 20 years old next spring. (which is a couple years longer then the 200 lasted before restoration) So far all I've done was replace belts, the electric clutch and switch, and now need to replace one of the belt idler pulleys. Oh ya and just replaced the tires. (although the 200 is one up on the F525, it still has the original tires)

As long as the cub starts good, 12 volts will not hurt the starter at all. Been running mine on 12 volts for several years without any problems. It is usually running before it turns over twice though, except in the winter it cranks a little.
